Vehicle history check
Don't buy someone else's history.
Enter a VIN or a licence plate and find out what the seller isn't telling you: real mileage, accidents, liens, outstanding finance and open recalls.

Counted, not estimated
Four numbers, counted from our own tables.
- 19SectionsThe table of contents is fixed. What changes from one vehicle to the next is how much of it we can fill, not how it is built.
- 9Connected sourcesArchives and decoders already integrated that answer for this market. The report names which one answered, section by section.
- 113Province codesItalian plates registered before 1994 open with the province code. We read all of them, abolished and renamed ones included.
- 7LanguagesEach one has its own address and its own hreflang. Full translations today are Italian and English: the other markets read Italian until theirs is ready.
Every figure above is counted from our own tables at the moment this page is generated. There is no customer count, no score and no review total here, because we would have no way to count one.
What we can prove
Vehicles we can read
- Cars
- Vans
- Motorcycles more limited coverage
The VIN still decodes, but the archives we query hold less history for these vehicles.
6 European markets
Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Poland and Romania: plate formats and local rules already implemented.
ISO 3779 validation
All 17 characters of the VIN are checked one by one before we query a single source.
GDPR compliant
We don't resell your data, and the preview doesn't ask you to register.
One-off payment
No subscription and no auto-renewal, not now and not three months from now.
A PDF that stays yours
Download the report, keep it, show it to your mechanic or to the seller.
We've only just launched: we have no thousands of reviews to parade, and we're not inventing them. Everything above is what we can prove today.
The procedure
Three steps, no surprises.
From the number stamped on the windscreen to a written verdict, with no phone calls and no waiting for a quote.
Step 1
Enter the VIN or the plate
Seventeen characters off the logbook or the windscreen. Get one wrong and we tell you straight away which one.
Step 2
We query the sources
We decode the VIN against the international standard and query, in parallel, the sources available for that vehicle.
Step 3
You get the verdict
Every section with an outcome you can read at a glance, the detail right underneath, and the PDF ready to download.
What's in the report
What we fill in today.
Not everything we would like to, but written out rather than promised. Every section below comes from a source we have already connected, and the report always names it.

The report has 19 sections: for Italy we fill 6 of them today. The rest are waiting on a source and stay marked "no data", because "we could not check" does not mean "all clear".

FAQ
The questions everyone asks us.
Where do I find the VIN?
On the registration document, at point E. On the car it's stamped at the base of the windscreen on the driver's side, on the front door pillar, and often in the engine bay or under the boot mat. It's 17 characters and never contains the letters I, O or Q: if you think you see one, it's a zero or a one.
What if you find no data on my car?
We tell you before you pay. The free preview already shows which sections we can fill for that VIN and which we can't. In the report, a section with no results stays marked "no data": that means we could not look, not that the vehicle is clean.
Can I use the plate instead of the VIN?
You can start from the plate: we tell you immediately whether the format is valid and where the vehicle was registered. Going from plate to VIN, though, needs a licensed channel that we're switching on country by country. If you have the logbook to hand, the VIN is still the fastest route.
How long does it take?
The preview is instant. The full report is built while you wait, querying sources in parallel: if one is slow to answer we show you that, instead of leaving you staring at a spinner.
Can I download the PDF?
Yes. Every report downloads as a PDF, with the date of the check and the sources we queried. It's yours: print it, attach it to a negotiation, or take it to your mechanic.
What if the car was imported?
The VIN is international, so the starting point doesn't change: decoding it tells us where the car was built. The foreign chapter of its history depends on the sources in the country it came from, and the preview tells you up front what we can cover for that vehicle.
One last check
Seventeen characters now, or a nasty surprise in six months.
A report costs less than a tank of fuel. A wound-back odometer costs about as much as an engine.
